After that, he went to work in Tollywood and Kollywood, where he became an established name as a director and cinematographer.

In 2003, K.V. Guhan made his acting and directorial debut with the film Kushi. Naani, Athadu, Aarya, Muni, and Jalsa were only few of the films he appeared in after then. The next year, he directed the film Inidhu Inidhu. After returning to cinematography, he directed films like Dookudu, SVSC, Aagadu, Baadshah, Mister, and Jawan. Among the films he directed were “118” and “WWW.”

K V Guhan worked as an editor for Bala Chander for the first three to four years of his career. He then began working as an assistant to the acclaimed filmmaker P.C. Sree Ram. His debut film, Kushi (Hindi Feature), premiered in 2003. Naani, Mahesh Babu’s debut feature film in the Telugu film industry, premiered that same year. After a year of trying, he was able to direct a film in Tamil, his mother tongue. The film’s premiere was at that very moment. After that, he had a prosperous career.

For the most part, Trivikram Srinivas, Mahesh Babu, and Prakash Raj have been his co-stars throughout his career. They made nine films together: one by K V Guhan, and eight by Prakash Raj. Despite interviewing three other candidates, Srinu Vaitla ultimately selected to work with Guhan as his director of photography (DOP) for both “Dookudu” and “Baadshah.” Though he grew up speaking Tamil, most of his film roles have been in the Telugu language. The first film that K V Guhan directed was called Inidhu Inidhu. Prakash Raj oversaw production of the film.
