Nelson Dilipkumar Education
Nelson went to New College in Chennai and got a degree in visual communication. At the start of his career, Nelson worked for Star Vijay as an assistant script writer. Nelson wrote and directed the dark comedy Kolamaavu Kokila, which starred Nayanthara. He did this with the help of Anirudh Ravichander.
The movie came out on August 17, 2018, and it did very well for Lyca Productions. Doctor was the next movie that Sivakarthikeyan and Priyanka Arul Mohan were in. After the pandemic caused lockdowns, the movie became one of the biggest hits in Tamil.

In 2010, Nelson began making Vettai Mannan, which was supposed to be his first film as a director. This movie was going to star Silambarasan, Jai, Hansika Motwani, and Deeksha Seth. It was going to be made by S. S. Chakravarthy of NIC Arts, and Yuvan Shankar Raja was going to do the music.
But the movie was stopped in the middle of filming for reasons that are still not clear. In 2017, a new cast and crew tried to start making the movie again. The composer, Yuvan Shankar Raja, was replaced by Anirudh Ravichander. But the initiative never got back to where it was before.
